Terms of Service / Terms & Conditions

Seller legal name. The Explosive Planner service is provided by Ryan Barry, trading as Explosive Planner. You are contracting with Ryan Barry as the seller of the software service. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or continuing to use the service, you accept and agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service. Explosive Planner is an event-planning web application that helps you draft events, discover venues, and view weather, traffic and disruption insights. Free-tier accounts may create up to three events; a paid Pro subscription unlocks unlimited events.

Acceptable use. You must not misuse the service, including: using it unlawfully, for fraud or spam, infringing anyone's intellectual property, uploading malware, probing or attacking our infrastructure, or scraping the service or third-party data shown in it (e.g. Google Maps content) outside what the applicable terms permit. You must keep your account credentials confidential and are responsible for activity under your account.

Intellectual property. Explosive Planner, its software, branding, documentation and AI-produced summaries are and remain the property of Ryan Barry. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service under your selected plan; you must not resell, sublicense or reverse-engineer it.

Service level. The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated suggestions will be accurate — always verify important details (opening times, prices, travel) with the underlying source before relying on them.

Payments & billing (Merchant of Record). Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle.com Market Ltd acts as reseller and Merchant of Record for Explosive Planner purchases and handles payment processing, subscription billing, tax calculation, tax collection and remittance, invoicing, payment-related customer service, cancellations, and returns. Payment terms, billing cycles, renewals and cancellations are governed by the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms.

Suspension & termination. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the service or cancel your subscription at any time from your account or via paddle.net.

Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential or special damages (including loss of profits, data or goodwill). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Privacy Policy — controller identity, data collected and purposes

Controller identity. Ryan Barry, trading as Explosive Planner, is the data controller for personal data processed through the Explosive Planner service. Ryan Barry determines the purposes and means of processing for account data, event data, support messages, usage information, cookies, and security logs. Contact the controller at privacy@eventai.app.

We collect the account details you provide (email, name), login and authentication data, support messages, the event details you enter, usage information, cookie preferences, and technical logs needed to keep the service running (IP address, browser, device identifiers, timestamps). This data is used to create and secure your account, deliver the planning features you request, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, improve the product, and send optional marketing communications when you consent.

Legal bases (UK GDPR / EU GDPR Art. 6): contract performance for account and event data; legitimate interests for basic analytics and security; consent for optional marketing communications and non-essential cookies.

Privacy Policy — data sharing recipients and subprocessors

We share personal data only with the service providers needed to run Plan it, and only for the purposes described above:

  • Paddle.com Market Ltd — our Merchant of Record, reseller, and payment processor. Paddle is the payment processor and Merchant of Record for paid Explosive Planner orders. When you subscribe, Paddle collects and processes your billing details, payment method, order history, subscription status, invoice details, fraud-prevention signals, and tax information to complete the sale, manage your subscription, issue invoices, process cancellations and refunds, and remit taxes. See the Paddle Privacy Notice.
  • Supabase — database, authentication and hosting for your account data, login records, event data, user settings, and technical logs.
  • Google Maps Platform & Google Weather — venue, place, map, traffic, disruption and weather data shown in the app; place searches, location queries and related context you request may be sent to Google to return results.
  • Professional advisers and authorities — where strictly required by law.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use your private event data to train third-party AI models.

Privacy Policy — data retention periods

Account and event data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons — Paddle retains billing and tax records for up to 10 years to meet its own MoR obligations. Technical logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting.

Third-party content & copyright

Venue photos, place details, ratings and map data shown in Explosive Planner are provided by Google Maps Platform and remain the property of Google and its contributors, used under the Google Maps Platform Terms of Service. We attribute results in-product and do not cache or repackage protected content beyond what those terms permit.

Weather data is provided by Google Weather. AI summaries and ice-breaker prompts are original, model-produced content. We do not scrape or resell any third-party dataset.

If you believe content shown in Explosive Planner infringes your copyright, contact us and we will act on valid notices under the DMCA (US) and the EU Digital Services Act notice-and-action procedure.

Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)

You can request access, correction, deletion, export or restriction of your personal data at any time from your account. EU/UK users may lodge complaints with their local Data Protection Authority. California residents have the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information — Explosive Planner does not sell personal data.

Cookies & advertising

Free-tier users see a limited number of ads (never more than one per major screen). Ads and non-essential cookies only load after you consent through the cookie banner, in line with the ePrivacy Directive. Pro subscribers see no ads and only strictly-necessary cookies.

Payments & subscriptions — Paddle payment processor disclosure

Payments for Pro subscriptions are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our Merchant of Record, reseller and payment processor, on PCI-DSS Level 1 certified infrastructure. We never see or store full card numbers. EU/UK customers benefit from Strong Customer Authentication (PSD2 SCA) and automatic VAT/GST handling by Paddle. You can cancel at any time from your account or via paddle.net; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Refund Policy

30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with your Pro subscription, whether you are in the EU/UK or elsewhere, you can request a full refund within 30 days of your original order date, for any reason. EU and UK customers additionally have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal on new subscriptions — the 30-day guarantee above meets or exceeds that right.

How to request a refund.Refunds are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle, for EU/UK and non-EU/UK customers. To request one within the 30-day refund window:

  • Visit paddle.net and look up your order using the email address you used at checkout, or
  • Email us at support@eventai.app with your order number and we will pass the request to Paddle on your behalf.

There are no usage-based conditions for the 30-day money-back guarantee, but abusive, fraudulent or duplicate refund requests may be refused where the law permits. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. Cancelling a subscription without a refund request stops future renewals; your access continues to the end of the paid period.

Data security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access to production data is limited to the smallest number of engineers necessary and is logged. We do not train third-party AI models on your private event data.
